Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, December 16, 1982 Tuma Services Held at Chapel Mrs. Rosie Tuma was born August 21, 1903 at Comstock, Nebraska to Emil and Rosie Kluna Urban and died December 9, 1982 in Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 69 (79). Rosie grew up at Comstock, Nebraska where she attended the local school. She was united in marriage to William Tuma on February 21, 1933 and the couple moved to a farm north of Elyria where they resided until 1970 when Mr. Tuma died. After William's death, Rosie moved to Grand Island to live with her daughter, Helen, and son-in-law, Melvin Purvis. Rosie was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge. Survivors include her mother, Rosie Urban of Ord; one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Helen) Purvis of Grand Island, one step-son, George Tuma of Lawton, OK; one brother Eldon Urban of Salt Lake City, UT; two sisters, Mrs. George (Tillie) Vasicek of Denver, CO and Mrs. Joe (Martha) Burek of Omaha; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father and husband. Funeral services were held Monday, December 13, 1982 at 10 am at the Ord Memorial Chapel in Ord. Burial was in the Bohemian section of the Ord City Cemetery.
