Bio

Mrs. Medhus was the daughter of Andrew Samuelson and Mary Stricker. She attended Grant High School in Portland and Oregon State College in Corvallis. She married Sigurd Duane Medhus in November 1949, and eight children were born to them. Her husband's career took the family resided at Richland, WA; Schenectady, NY; Stamford, CT; Nutley, NJ; Canada; North Carolina; and Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Medhus was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; eight children and their spouses; twenty grandchildren; and sister Maryann Ballew of Portland, Oregon. Arrangements by Arlington Park Funeral Home. Burial at Leeds Lutheran Cemetery, in Leeds, North Dakota, where other members of the Medhus family are at rest. Obituary was published in The Times-Union newspaper [Jacksonville, Florida] on Wednesday, October 21, 1998.
