Bio

Arthur Dittmer (as printed from the Polk Progress 7-22-1954) The community was shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Mr. Arthur Dittmer, 46, on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Dittmer became ill at work at the Brazda Implement Co. Monday morning about 9:30. He was taken to the Aurora Hospital that morning. Being in a stage of severe shock, the doctors could not operate. He died at 1:25 Tuesday afternoon. Death was attributed to peritonitis resulting from a sigmoid rupture. Mr. Dittmer is survived by his wife, Minnie and two sons, Marvin and Henry. Also his mother, Mrs. Marie Dittmer; twin brothers, Albert, a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Hahn and brothers, Fred and Alvin, all of Clarks. The funeral will be Friday morning, 9:30 at the Brauer Funeral Home and 10 o'clock at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
