Bio
He was born in Lafors, Texas and lived in Oklahoma, California and then settled in Oregon. That is where he met Donna and they were married Sep 1, 1951. They had a family of 3 boys and 3 girls. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for his family, especially for his 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. They always brought a smile to his face and a twinkle to his eyes. Leonard is survived by his wife, Donna, children; Alan (Renea), DeAnna Botta (Robert), Mike (Gail), Penny Wylie (Bill), Ron (Dalene) and 5 siblings. He was preceded in death by his daughter Pat Hopkins and 4 siblings. Viewing will be Friday, May 10 from 5 to 8 pm and funeral will be 11 am Sat. May 11 at City View Funeral Home, 390 Hoyt St. S. Salem. Burial will be at 2 pm at the Gervais Masonic Cemetery. Published in the Salem, Oregon Statesman Journal on May 10, 2013.
