'''''''''''''' The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), June 2, 1960, p. 5, col. 5 Services Held May 27 For Frank Liskovec Frank Liskovec, 71, a resident of Butler County for many years, died at the David City Hospital May 24 after an illness of eleven days. Funeral services were conducted at St. Mary's Church, David City, on May 27 with the Rev. Charles Kelliher officiating. Music was by the church choir. Serving as pallbearers were Joe Andel, Frank Andel, Robert Janak, James Styskal, Method Tejral and Ludvick Havel. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, David City. Relatives from away attending the services were from Omaha, Superior, Grant, Columbus, Schuyler, Bee, Linwood, Valparaiso, and Rising City. Mr. Liskovec was born near Bruno on Jan. 29, 1889, to John and Teresa Liskovec. On June 28, 1910, he was married to Pauline Andel at Appleton Church. Six children were born to them: Mrs. Joseph A. (Emma) Voboril, Appleton; Mrs. Mike (Clara) Slosar, Ulysses; William Liskovec, Columbus; John, who was killed in action in 1945; Mrs. Frank (Mary) Cihal, Ulysses and Mrs. Ernest (Gladys) Pernicek, Linwood. Mr. Liskovec farmed neare Bruno, Rising City and Osceola and then retired and moved to David City. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Pauline, four daughters, one son, 12 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Kristine Harky of Omaha. Besides his son, John, he was preceded in death by his parents, two sister, Mrs. Emanuel (Frances) Benesch and Mrs. Pauline Ritchie and three brothers, who died in infancy.
