Bio

Gordon was the husband of Velma Vivian Mitchell Adams. He is the son of James Thomas and Tilda Louise (Kellison) Adams. He is the father of Albert Edwin , James Burgan and Troy Joe Adams. The Childress Index September, 1969 Funeral services for Gordon Albert Adams were held today at 2 p.m. in King Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. A.N. Motes, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Childress Cemetery by Newberry's. Pallbearers were Herold Kitchens, Frank O. Mitchell, C.B. Roberts, Otis Coats, R.L. Prescott, Bill Sager, Jim Heath and Donald Crook. Mr. Adams, a resident of Childress County since 1917, died of an apparent heart attack at the Renfro Service Station, where he was employed. He was a retired farmer and stockman. Survivors include his wife of the home, three sons, three brothers, two sisters and five grandchildren. Angie Mitchell Martin
