Joe Charlie Gajewski was born to Frank P. Gajewski and Louise Orsak Gajewski on March 18, 1927, on their family farm in Mixville, Texas. He completed grades 1-8 at Mixville School. Joe met Lorease Ann Henneke from Columbus, Texas, and they married at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz, Texas, on July 1, 1967. They made their home in Sealy, Texas. Joe and Lorease have two children: Michael Gajewski and Leanne Gajewski Parrett. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Frank P. Gajewski and Louise Orsak Gajewski and a younger brother, Eugene Gajewski, also of Sealy, brother-in-laws: L. A. Stastny and Frank Stastny. Joe passed away from a repeat battle of cancer peacefully, with his wife of 45 years by his side. He will be sorely missed by his wife Lorease, son Michael Gajewski of Sealy, daughter Leanne and her husband, George Parrett of Lakeway, Texas. He was also blessed with four grandchildren: Morgan and Justin Gajewski of Sealy and Bryant and Cade Parrett of Lakeway, Texas. He leaves behind sisters Clara Stastny and Frances Stastny of Sealy, brothers Clem Gajewski of Rosenberg, Steve Gajewski and Victor Gajewski of Sealy. He leaves behind sister-in-laws: Barbara Gajewski of Rosenberg, Mary Lou Gajewski, Nancy Gajewski and Betty Gajewski of Sealy. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are nephews: Dwayne Gajewski, Darrell Gajewski, Wesley Gajewski, Buddy Gajewski, Jimmy Stastny and Ronald Stastny. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren: Bryant and Cade Parrett, Morgan and Justin Gajewski. Joe worked for WKM in Missouri City, Texas and then Sowa’s Machine Shop in Sealy, Texas. Joe retired from machining in 1989 at the age of the 62. After retirement, Joe returned to ranching full time on the family ranch in Alleyton, Texas. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3313 for over 60 years as a Third Degree Knight and a Legionnaire for Post 442 in Sealy, Texas. He loved everyone that he met, especially children. He had a smile on his face and humor in his heart even on the day that he passed away.
