Rosenberg Herald, February 3, 1955: Funeral services for Mrs. John (Bezecny) Chudej, 70, were held from the Triska Chapel and at the Beasley Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. A. Pavelka officiating. Mrs. Chudej was born on August 12, 1884 in Fayette County. She married John Chudej at Fayetteville in 1904 and they lived in Lavaca County and Columbus before moving to Fort Bend County in 1928. She is survived by her husband of Beasley; six daughters, Mrs. Cyril Sykora of Rosenberg, Mrs. Henry Preuss of Beasley, Mrs. Willie Sbrusch of Beasley, Mrs. Ludwig Dobesh of Needville, and Mrs. Theodore Matheaus of Beasley; one son, Julius Chudej of East Bernard; two brothers, John Bezecny of Rosenberg and Frank Bezecny of Schulenburg; 22 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded her in death 8 years ago. Pallbearers were grandsons, Eugene Dobesh, Elvin Sykora, Daniel Sykora, Johnnie Sykora, Elgene Matheaus, and Bengene Matheaus. Interment was at Greenlawn Memorial Park, with the Triska Funeral Home directing.
