Bio

"Mrs. Richard Spicer, 45, died at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at her home, one mile north of Higbee. She had been in failing health the past year, suffering from asthma. A native of Belgium, Mrs. Spicer came to the United States when she was ten years old. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Joseph Spicer of Moberly and Carl and Wayne Spicer of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Silvery of Kansas City and Marjorie and Betty Spicer of the home. The body is in the Snow Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by Dr. F.C. Havighurst, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery." Moberly Monitor-Index, November 25, 1949
