Bio

Glenn Ray Young, 79, of Waco, passed away at his home Saturday, May 11, 2013. A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Glenn was born in San Angelo, Texas, to the late Jim Monroe Young and Ethelene Wright Young. He had worked for Brazos Concrete, Meridan Concrete, and Western American Concrete. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Young; and sisters, Faye Gunter, Fern Jones, Klieta Garrett, and Barbara Ramon. Survivors include his daughters, Adraka Thornton and husband, Gary, Jana Schieber and husband, J. R., and Darla Garrett and husband, Doug; son, Gaylon Ray Young; grandchildren, Heather, Yhotzmine, Brian, Ashley, Michaela, Ryan, Caitlyn, Kylie and Claire; sisters, Floye Brice and Virginia Del Francisco; brother, Gordon Young and wife, Penny; many other relatives and numerous friends.
