Divine Mercy Parish St. Augustine's Catholic Church COMMITTAL: Holy Cross Cemetery Reverend Andrew Syring, Celebrant Kracl Funeral Chapels in charge of arrangements. Patrick Joseph Flynn was born January 3, 1959, in Lincoln, Nebraska to James H. and Marian C,(Shonka) Flynn, Jr. He graduated from Schuyler High School in 1977 and from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1982 with a degree in Agri-Business. Pat started Flynn and Associates in Schuyler, selling insurance and investments. He was very active in the church, was a core member of Lifeteen, belonged to the Knights of Columbus, served on the UNL Newman Center Leadership Council and ran for the United States Senate in 2008 and 2012. Pat was also very active in Alchoholics Anonymous throughout the area. Pat is survived by his parents, James and Marian Flynn, Lawrence, Kansas, two sisters;Kathy Flynn and her husband Gary Dunteman and Julie Flynn, all of Omaha, one brother, John(Lucy) Flynn of Lawrence, Kansas, five nieces, three nephews and several God-Children. Pat also leaves all of the Lifeteen and AA members he impacted over the years, to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Flynn.
