Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Sandia Baptist Church in Clovis. Benjamin Thomas “Benny” Hardisty Jr., 80, of Clovis died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. He was born Sept. 22, 1924, to Benjamin Thomas and Dolly Preuit Hardisty in Lamesa, Texas. He married Nadine Scroggins on Sept. 16, 1955, in Portales. He was a cattleman and a bookkeeper. He also was the partner and operator of Ranchers and Farmers Livestock Auction, worked for Whiteway Cattle for many years, and was the office manager for Mesa Feed Lots. He has spent his entire life in the Clovis area serving the livestock producers as head of the bookkeeping department and selling cattle. He was a member of Sandia Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife, a son, Chuck Hardisty (and wife, Jan) of Clovis; a daughter, Kathy Franson of Clovis; two brothers, Jerry Hardisty (Danna) of Marble Falls, Texas, Dan Hardisty (Barbara) of Ruidoso Downs; three sisters, Lucy Harrison (Paul) of Clovis; Helen Mercer (Allen) of Albuquerque, and Carolyn Hardisty Ruiz of Nogalas, Ariz.; and three grandchildren, Dustin Hardisty (Amy) of Amarillo, Dr. Kelly Tabacchi (Todd) of Overland Park, Kan., and Valerie Franson of Clovis. The Rev. Hoyt Welch and Rev. Jason Swoops will officiate services. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Pallbearers are Douglas and Mark Harrison, Dennis, Tony, Johnny and Tommy Hardisty, Rick and Harvey Hudspeth, and Bobby and Benny Martin. Honorary pallbearers are his nieces. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Giden Bible Group or a charity of choice. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home, Inc. of Clovis.Harlan Roger Rehorn Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Muffley Funeral Home Chapel.
