1944 Madison Star-Mail; Madison, Nebraska; Thursday, January 13, 1944, page 4 LAST RITES FOR ED FRICKE Funeral services for Edwin D. Fricke, who died at the Methodist hospital in Los Angeles, California Tuesday, January 4th, at the age of 45 years were held at Madison, Nebraska Monday, January 10th at 2 pm at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fricke Jr. They were conducted by Rev. Hal F. Schneck. Burial was in the family lot at Crown Hill Cemetery. Edwin Dewey Fricke was born May 1, 1898, at Madison, Nebraska, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fricke. During most of his life he lived in Pierce county, Nebraska. He was married to Frances Fuchs of Pierce county on June 28, 1932. He was a World War (1) veteran. He leaves to mourn his widow; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fricke of Pender, Nebraska, two brothers, Cecil of Lyons, Nebraska and George of Los Angeles, California, and many relatives and friends. Among out-of-town people who attended the funeral were Mrs. R. B. Ronspies of Pierce, Mrs. Joseph Schott of Osceola, Mrs. Clark and daughter of Sidney, Nebraska, Miss Mildred Ronspies of Albion, John Fuchs of Pierce and Charles and Ed Fricke of Columbus.
