Margie's obituary was added to her memorial on September 3, 2025.....Judy Johnson ----------------------------------------- Margaret "Margie" A. Polacek, 85 of Prague, died April 28 at Memory Lane at Saunders Medical Center LTC in Wahoo. Polacek was born March 23, 1928 to Bohumil and Marie (Dressler) Hampl in Prague. She graduated from Prague High School and then married Frank Polacek on April 21, 1947 at St. John's Church in Prague. The couple began farming near Rescue and later moved their growing family to O'Neill where they owned and operated the local bowling alley. Soon they returned to Prague where they built a successful hog operation just south of town. She was an active member of the Prague Rescue Unit and held various offices in the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was involved in the PCCW and Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughters and spouse, Linda Darling of Lincoln, Laura and Shane Zoucha of Fremont; sons and spouses, Larry and Paula Polacek of Lincoln and Lonny and Shawn Polacek of Kearney; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and very special caregiver, Tabby. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday with 7 p.m. Rosary all at the church. Pallbearers are Bill Chmelka, Chris Chmelka, Doug Polacek, Nate Polacek, Ryan Pollock and Galen Polak.
