Bio

Carl Ryan , 66, of 130 N. 17th St. died at 9:05 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Hospital about one hour after admittance. He fell Jan. 15 and broke a shoulder, according to Coroner W.C. Telford. His wife, Alta Lewis, preceded him in death in 1953. A son, Joseph, was killed in World War II. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Leonard Esper, Mrs. Henry Hamrick and Mrs. Luther Huff, all of Springfield; one brother, Norman, of Springfield; and one granddaughter. The body was at the Williamson Funeral Home, Jacksonville where services were held. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Jacksonville. Illinois State Journal.
