Obituary: THE TAYLOR DAILY PRESS TUESDAY JAN 25, 1949. M.B. BOYD Funeral services for Joseph Mabry "M B" Boyd were held at the Condra Funeral Home this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. E. Bruce Banks, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated. Burial was in the Jonah cemetery. Pallbearers were Homer Laughlin, Ed Douhy, D.D. Barron, Amos Barron, Eddie Miller, and Dave Berry. Joseph Mabry "MB" Boyd died in a local hospital Sunday mourning at 11:0 o'clock. Mr. Boyd born in Williamson county February 18, 1877, had made his home in Taylor for the past 35 years. In 1894 he was married to Sarah Ela Boyd, who preceded him in death. His survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Edwards and Mrs. Elizabeth Kitchens of Taylor, five sons Ralph Boyd of Houston, Allen Boyd of Harlingen, Barney Boyd of South Carolina, Tom Boyd of Corpus Christi, and Earl Boyd of California; two sisters Mrs. J.W. Nelson of Schwertner, Mrs. R.D. Barron of Taylor, three brothers, O.B. Boyd and Ivey Boyd of Georgetown, and Jonah Boyd of Pasadena.
