Bio

A rosary and Mass for Victor Shandera, 73, of Kensington Park, will be said at 10:15 a.m. tomorrow in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Goodbody Mortuary is in charge. Private burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. He died Friday in a hospital. Mr. Shandera was a native of Minnesota and lived in the county 52 years. He was retired as a product control coordinator for Convair after 33 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 201, and the San Diego Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Phoebe; a daughter, Renee Hurlburt; a son, Alan Shandera; and two sisters, Hilda Roberts and Mary Kilgore, all of San Diego; a brother, Leo Shandera of Nebraska; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
