J. Richards W. J. "Skeeter" Richards, 96, of Blooming Grove, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Navarro Regional Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin Roughton Funeral Home in Blooming Grove. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove with Grady Cashion officiating. Interment will be in Dresden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Masons. Mr. Richards was born Sept. 30, 1908. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove and the Blooming Grove Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pink Marie Richards and grandsons, Kyle and Eric Richards. He is survived by sons, Wayne and Thelma Richards of Corsicana, Wendel "Peb" and Diane Richards of Barry; brothers, Clyde Richards, Dorsey Richards and Barney Richards, all of Corsicana; sister, Dorothy Fuller of Gun Barrel City; grandchildren, Denise Bradyboy of Houston, David Richards of Corsicana, Charlotte Armstrong of Corsicana, Randy Richards of Blooming Grove and Mandy Grounds of Barry and great grandchildren, Dale Mize, Brooke Richards, Jordan Richards, Meredith Richards, Jason Richards, Shane Richards, Hayden Richards, Misti Gonzales, Philip Armstrong, Lee Grounds and Noah Grounds.
