SARGENT — Edward A. Chalupa, 86, of Sargent died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at the Ambassador Lincoln in Lincoln. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sargent. The Rev. Todd Philipsen will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Sargent. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Rhoad Funeral Home, with a wake at 7 p.m. at the church. Mr. Chalupa was born Aug. 28, 1918, at Sargent to Lewis and Josie (Klapal) Chalupa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Chalupa, on March 7, 2000. Survivors of the immediate family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Chalupa of Muncie, Ind., and Donald and Kay Chalupa of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Dennis Buckbee of Lincoln; and three brothers, Eldon of Pinconning, Mich., Frank of Grand Island and Edwin of Sargent.
