Herald Coaster, September 14, 1970: Mrs. Albina Hand, 48, of Pleak, died Saturday afternoon at Polly Ryon Hospital. She was born in 1922 in Pleak and was a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Hand is survived by husband, Morris (Buddy) Hand; sons, Donald, Joe, and Charles, all of Pleak; sisters, Mrs. Vick Bialas, Mrs. Leon Dzierzanowski, Mrs. Lucy Wrobliski, all of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Verna Jabalonsky of Needville; and brothers, John Eda of Needville, and Frank and Egnac Eda of Hungerford. Services will be held from the First Baptist Church in Rosenberg, with Dr. Ralph Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. Leslie Welch.
