Bio

James Kubala, who passed away Sunday, June 8, 1980 in the Yorktown Memorial Hospital, at the age of 77 years. Brother Kubala was born in DeWitt County, Texas on 22 January 1903 to Joe and Minnie (Jalufka) Kubala. He married Mae Hopper 29 September 1927 in Yorktown. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in the Lamprecht-Janssen Chapel, Monday, June 9th, with the Rev. Melton Bohmfolk officiating. Burial was in Westside Cemetery in Yorktown. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Mae Kubala of Yorktown; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Stephan of La Salle, Texas, Mrs. Edd (Olga) Ender of Houston, Mrs. Gus (Beulah) Hengst of Houston; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joe Barfield, James Monroe, Robert Jackson, James E. Wolf, Arvid Sievers and Harold Gohmert. May our departed brother rest in eternal peace. Věstník – West, TX | 8/20/1980
