Archie was a parishioner for more than 30 years at San Gabriel Mission Catholic Church. He died on March 25 a few weeks before his 85th birthday. He was a Middle-Western farm boy; a Korean War veteran; a mechanic, carpenter and furniture maker. In his mid-30s, he lost his eyesight to retinitis pigmentosa, but soon was back in the workshop teaching how to use tools and taking on handyman jobs for the neighbors. He was intellectually curious, an avid follower of the news and a grand supporter of his adult children. When his son Gerard came out to his parents, his father, Archie, immediately became his defender, proudly telling the extended family about his son's pursuits as an activist. He was particularly encouraging about his work with The GLBT History Museum. Archie is survived by his son Gerard Koskovich. He will be greatly missed. ========================================== Photos
