Bio

A.J. or Andrew was married twice. He first married Dovie Shields on 14 Nov 1909 in Hamilton County, Texas. There were no children born to this marriage. After Dovie's death, John Andrew married Vesta Lee Mathis. --------- Services for J.A. Samuelson were held in the Carlton Church of Christ conducted by Price Bankhead, the local minister. His first wife preceded him in death. He married to Miss Vesta Lee Mathis. To this union were born five children, one died in infancy. Survived by his wife; four children; two sisters - Tommena Wallum, Lora mae Burreson. He was a farmer and caretaker for the Carlton Cemetery for several years. He was buried in the Carlton Cemetery.
