Funeral services for Orletha Burival, age 89, of O'Neill, will be 10:30 A.M., Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill with burial in the O'Neill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 P.M., Thursday at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, with a 4:30 P.M., Catholic Daughter Rosary and an 8 P.M., Parish Rosary. Orletha passed away Monday afternoon at her home in O'Neill. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Burival of O'Neill, 2 daughters, Nina Sorensen of Page, Marilyn Zahradnicek and her husband, Melvin of Atkinson, 2 sons; Larry Burival and his wife, Diana of O'Neill, Gary Burival and his wife, Joyce of O'Neill, 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Arthur Holz, of O'Neill, and Virgil Holz of Harvard, Ne. Orletha was born August 28, 1918 at Clarks, Nebraska to Hugo and Pearl (Inks) Holz. She grew up in the Clarks area and graduated from the O'Neill Public High Schoolin 1935. On May 16, 1938 Orletha married Edwin Burival in Burke, South Dakota. They made their home North of O'Neill where they farmed and raised their family. Orletha was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill and Altar Society. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary and an Extension Club. For many years Orletha volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Mobile, St. Anthony's Hospital, the Immunization Clinic and the O'Neill Nursing Center. She sang with the St. Patrick's Funeral Choir and served on the Funeral Dinner Committee. She was a past member of a rural School Board. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, her son Robert, 1 daughter-in-law, 2 great-granddaughters, 2 sisters-in-law and her son-in-law, Robert Sorensen. Rev. Jeff Lorig will officiate.
