Curtis William Sandifer, age 81, a native of Starks, Louisiana and a resident of DeQuincy, Louisiana died on March 27, 2013 in DeQuincy, Louisiana. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish. He was known as a kind and loving man. He served in the United States Army. He was Pentecostal by faith. He is survived by the mother of his children, and love of his life, Helen Franks; one son, Jimmy Sandifer and wife, Geraldine, and one daughter, Tammy Domingue and husband Daryl Sharbino, Jr. of DeQuincy, three sisters, Laverne Says of Starks, Louisiana, Emma Smith of Fields, Louisiana and Linda Ragle and her husband Herbert of Longville, Louisiana, and five grandchildren, Jessica Hebert and husband, James Hebert, Jina Sandifer, Tristan Domingue, Tamra Wylie and Heather Klein and four great grand children, Curtis Marcin, Abigail Marcin, Jasmine Hess and Kristopher Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wilbur Sandifer and Rachel Martha Hyatt Hursey , his stepfather, Willis Clayborne Hursey, brother Willis Ray Hursey of Alexandria and two grandchildren, Erica Sandifer and Jeffery Alston Jr. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Christensen Funeral Home, DeQuincy, Louisiana and on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Christensen Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hyatt Cemetery, Fields, Louisiana SOURCE:Christensen Funeral Home
