Bio
Mr. John Baca, Sr., passed out of this life at the home of his son, John Baca, east of town last Saturday morning at the advanced age of 86 years. Funeral services were held at the residence at two o’clock Sunday evening and interment made in the City Cemetery. Deceased was born in Austria and moved to Texas in 1860, settling near Fayetteville. He moved to this community in 1866, and has lived on the same farm since the year 1884. Mr. Baca had been blind for some twenty years prior to his death. He is survived by a wife, two daughters, Mrs. Jacob Simicek and Mrs. J.J. Simek of the Praha neighborhood, and one son, John Jr., beside a number of grandchildren. The Argus extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved.
