Bio
Anna Rachael Weathers, was born in Cass County, Missouri, on March 9, 1857. Her parents are Mr. & Mrs. John Wood. She came to Marengo in early childhood and was married to Leroy Weathers, September 5, 1875 in Crawford County. Survivors included four children, Everest Weathers, of Bloomington; Orest Weathers, of Hydro, Okla.; Zona Hedrick, of Indianapolis, and Ruby McIntosh, of Marengo; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, two of whom attended the funeral, Pearl and Olive Gilliam, of Berryman, Mo. She united with the Christian Church in early girlhood and lived a devoted Christian life to the end. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Old Town Church, with the Rev. Ray Anderson, pastor of the Marengo Christian Church in charge. He was assisted by the Rev. Oren Whitton. Burial was in the Marengo Cemetery.
