Bio

Leroy Weathers, for many years, one of the leading farmers, and ex-trustee of Marengo, died at his home in north Marengo Christmas day, at about 5 p.m. after an illness of three weeks. No definite arrangements have been made for the funeral, but it will probably take place Wednesday, if his son Orest Weathers, who lives in Oklahoma arrives. Mr. Weathers, is the son of Vincent & Elitha Mayes Weathers, he was born near Marengo on January 31, 1850 and died there December 25, 1916. He married Anna Rachael Wood, on September 5, 1875 in Crawford County. Besides his wife and son, he is survived by another son, Everest Weathers, and two daughters, Zona and Ruby Weathers.
