Antoinette Cernohlavek The funeral for Antoinette "Toni" Cernohlavek, 90, of rural Prague will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Plasi. She died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at David Place in David City. She was born Nov. 25, 1914, in rural Weston to James and Antonia (Zak) Vanek. She attended elementary school in rural Weston. She married Anton Cernohlavek on June 26, 1934, in Weston. The couple lived in the rural Prague area their entire married life in the house that Anton had built. She helped her husband with the family farm. Following her husband's death on March 5, 1983, she continued to live on the family farm with her son, Leroy. She had resided at David Place for the past 2 1/2 years. She was widely known throughout Saunders, Butler and Dodge counties for her sale of raffle tickets in conjunction with the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Parish Bazaar. She was the top raffle ticket seller for several years. She was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Plasi. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 254 of Prague, ZCBJ (Western Fraternal Life Association) and Cecho Moravan Lodge 68 of Brainard. Survivors include: a son, Leroy of rural Prague; two daughters, Arlene Shreve (and husband, Larry Bouza) of Omaha and Bernice (and husband, Leroy Goemann) of Lincoln; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, a brother and an infant sister. The Revs. Jamie Hottovy and Ronald Homes will officiate Tuesday's service. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo and hour prior to service time at the church. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial service will be conducted by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 254 of Prague. Memorials have been established to the church and Prague Volunteer Fire Department Submitted by GMatulka _____________________ ** Joseph Vanek was her full sibling and not a half sibling.**
