Echo Drue Christiansen Hampton 1934 - 2013 Early Life: Echo was born March 29, 1934, in American Fork, Utah, to Byron Ray and LaVerne Grantham Christiansen. Echo was raised in Tooele, Utah, moving to West Valley, Highland, and then St. George, Utah. Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On July 15, 1950, she married Richard Lloyd Hampton in Ely, Nevada. Echo worked at the Utah State Training School in American Fork. She loved working with special needs children. She worked at Litton's, then Harmon's Grocery store. That is where she found her niche as she loved being with people. She worked at Harmon's for 17 years. She also managed Panguitch Lake Resort for a few seasons. Echo started playing golf and found that sport to be her passion. She enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing and motorcycling. She loved having her grandchildren sitting behind her on her motorbike while enjoying the beauty they had around them. Most important to Echo was her family. She loved playing with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Since moving to St. George, she golfed almost every day with her daughters and sweetie (her loving Buddy) or anyone she could find to golf with her. She also loved playing cards with a group of friends and family and always wanted to win. Just ask the Drury clan. Echo Drue Christiansen Hampton passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2013. She was 78.
