************************************************************ Mrs. Joseph Drevo, a former Crete resident, died March 4, 1943 in Los Angeles, California following a short illness. Mrs. Loreen Kasha Drevo was born October 23, 1919 at Washington, Kansas and departed this life on March 4, 1943 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 23 years, four months, and nine days. In 1921 when about two years of age, she moved with her parents to Nebraska where she spent the greater part of her life. She was united in marriage to Joseph Drevo on December 11, 1935 at North Platte, Nebraska and to this union were born three children: Betty Joan, now six years of age; Kenneth, three years old; and David Wayne, age 14 days. Besides her husband and three children, Mrs. Drevo leaves to mourn her death her father, Frank Kasha of Crete; two brothers, Alex Frank and Emil John Kasha of North Platte; one sister, Mrs. Ted Hier of Peoria, Illinois, and a large number of relatives and friends. Her mother and one sister, Mrs. Charles Cejka, preceded her in death. The remains were brought to Crete for funeral services and burial. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Kuncl Funeral Home with Rev. Gale Moon officiating. Mrs. George Kersenbrock and Mrs. Karl Nedela furnished the music. Interment was made in Crete Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Emil Aksamit, Rudolph Aksamit, Milo Aksamit, Emily Plachy, Emil Drevo, and Charles Cejka, Jr. Source: The Crete News, March 11, 1943 ************************************************************
