Bio
Leonard Humphries, 57, of Valley Mills, died Thursday, March 14, 2013. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, March 17, in the First Baptist Church in Clifton with interment in the Turnersville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 16, at the Clifton Funeral Home Chapel. Leonard was born in Bosque County, Texas, to Garland and Lavaine Patterson Humphries. He graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1974. Leonard married Patsy Nichols on Feb. 23, 1973. He was an exceptional carpenter and worked for numerous construction companies in Waco over 40 years. Leonard enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, and watching NASCAR with his friend, David. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Humphries; daughter, Laurie Brown; granddaughter, Katie Brown; and father, Garland Humphries; other relatives and many friends.
