Bio

The Muncie Star, Monday, Jan. 21, 1963 DALEVILLE--Oscar (Brownie) Heaston, 76, R.R. 2, Dunkirk, died at noon Sunday at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. A native of Greensfork, he had lived most of his life in Daleville. He was an employe of the Polhemus and Shirey Funeral Home for 40 years until retiring in 1951. Since his retirement, he has resided with a niece, Mrs. Jesse Payton, R.R. 2, Dunkirk. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Sutton, Muncie, and Mrs. Frances Carpenter, R.R. 2, Dunkirk. Friends may call at the Shirey Funeral Home here after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Paul Henry, pastor of Albany Nazarene Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, north of Daleville.
