Agnes Brazington, 89 - Viewing for Agnes Brazington, a Lewiston resident, will be held today from noon to 7 p.m. at Malcom's Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel in Lewiston. A graveside service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Fairmont Memorial Park in Spokane. The Rev. Evelyn Burd of Orchards Christian Church will officiate. Brazington, 89, a retired Forest Service and lumber camp cook, died of cancer at Life Care Center in Lewiston Monday. She was born to Abraham and Anna Goerzten Unruh at Langdon, N.D., Feb. 18, 1910. She attended schools at Henderson, N.D., before moving with her family to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in 1916. She married Clyde M. Brazington at Sandpoint June 12, 1926. He died June 1, 1979. Brazington lived at Laclede, Idaho, from 1928 until 1930, when she moved to Spirit Lake, Idaho. In 1931 she moved to Upper Twin Lakes, Idaho, and moved to Spokane in 1944. In 1951 she moved to Weippe and began cooking for JT Hall Logging Co. She cooked for Diamond National from 1954 until she began cooking for the U.S. Forest Service at Kelly Creek, Cedars, and Cold Springs. She retired in 1970. The couple bought a home in Lewiston in 1959 and maintained it as a residence even while living in Alaska. He worked on an oil rig in Alaska from 1970 to 1974. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Her survivors include two daughters, Euginia Kirby of Lewiston and Beatrice Stanger of Portland, Ore.; three sons, Virgil Brazington of Spokane, Don Brazington of Lewiston and Marvin Brazington of Sterling, Alaska; a half-sister, Frances McCoy of Rathdrum, Idaho; 22 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-greatgrandchildren.
