N. Sedgwick. Mrs. Lindsay's father was the late T. N. Sedgwick, general attorney for the M. K. & T. at the time of his death. Mr. Lindsay is a Katy dispatcher. ************************************* The Parsons [KS] Daily Sun, 27 Jul 1907, Saturday SEDGWICK - LINDSAY WEDDING A wedding of unusual interest and one which few expected so soon, was that of Miss Edith Sedgwick and Mr. Roy Lindsay, which occurred at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. T. N. Sedgwick, on Grand avenue, Wednesday evening. As though matrimony was the last thing in their thoughts the young couple attended prayer meeting as usual earlier in the evening, and on the return home were followed by Dr. W. S. Davis, pastor of the Presbyterian church. About 10 o'clock the bride appeared, very sweet in her bridal gown of white silk and carrying a shower bouquet of white roses. She was joined by the groom, and standing in the bay window the words were said by Dr. Davis, which united Mr. Charles Roy Lindsay and Miss Edith Pauline Sedgwick in their holy bonds of matrimony. The only guests present were the immediate relatives and a few of the most intimate friends of the young couple. These young people no more need any endorsement from us than they did their consent to their marriage, for everyone knows them in Parsons and each of them has the highest respect of all. Mr. Lindsay is chief clerk in the office of Chief Dispatcher Gates of the M., K. & T. Railroad company, and the bride is the daughter of the late Judge T. N. Sedgwick, for several years genreral attorney of the road. She is an accomplished musician and makes the fifth member of the Alpha XI girls here to act that way within the past year. That some of her girlfriends found out was proven by the large quantity of rice that was showered through the window after the ceremony. Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served and all congratulated the happy couple and wished them a safe return from their wedding trip, upon which they left soon after the ceremony. They left on the 2 o'clock train for St. Paul, Minn., where they will visit Mr. Lindsay's relatives, and then go to Chicago and Milwaukee. After the trip, they will be at home to their friends at the home of Mr. Lindsay's parents on East Belmont avenue. Those present besides the immediate families were Mrs. J. H. Hibben, Mr. Ralph Hibben and Mr. O'Rear. ************************************* The Emporia Gazette (Emporia, Kansas) 4 March 1939 Saturday page 2, column 3 BURIAL HERE.
