Funeral services for Hazel I. Trimble, 75, were conducted Sunday, February 7, 1988, at 2:00 in the afternoon at the Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock. Rev. Mike Heady, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Shamrock Cemetery by Richerson Funeral Home. Bill Lisle, Paul Morgan, Steve Copeland, Jack Lisle, Paul O'Neal, all of Shamrock, and Don Copeland of Pampa, served as pallbearers. Mrs. Trimble died Friday, February 5, 1988, at 9:02 in the morning at the Hospice in St. Anthony's in Amarillo. Born April 30, 1912, in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas to Benjamin and Emma McBay Holcomb, she came to Shamrock in 1927. Miss Hazel I. Holcomb and Lee Trimble were married in January 1928, in Cordell, Oklahoma. They lived in Shamrock until his death, December 5, 1959. Mrs. Trimble remained in Shamrock until 1970, when she moved to Amarillo. one son, Jimmy, preceded in in death November 5, 1960. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include a daughter, Maudine Ferrell of Amarillo; three sons: David Trimble of Amarillo, Duane Trimble of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Edward Trimble of Pampa; a sister, Essie Montgomery of Grandfield, seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
