Effie Mae Robinette Brooks, Born March 30, 1913,( 87), died Monday March 26, 2001 at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband Cedric "Ted" Brooks; parents, George Preston and Nannie Elizabeth Holbrook Robinette; 3 sisters , Estelle Robinette, Alma Dickson, and Sylvia Elswick; 4 brothers. Cecil Robinette, Rollie Robinette Larson Robinette, & Calvin Robinette; a son-in-law, Aaron "Big A" Hall and a grandson, Aaron Steven Hall Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Loretta B. Hall, Judy & Phillip Ison and Linda & Roger Yates all of Coeburn; 3 sons & daughters-in-law. Hershel "Buddy" & Glenda Brooks, Donald K. & Betty Brooks, & W. Dale Brooks all of Coeburn; one sister, Fonda Hamm, McCordsville, Indiana ; 2 bothers. Hansford Robinette, Coeburn, Va. And Landon Robinette, Norton, Virginia 4 grandsons, Hershel Ray Brooks, Jr. Scott Allen Brooks, and Phillip Brooks Ison all of Coeburn; 2 granddaughters, Deanna Pope & Melissa Yates both of Coeburn' 1 grandson-in-law, Robert Pope, Coeburn, Nancy Neeley (Special Friend) of Coeburn, Virginia; 4 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
