Barney McCoy Oney was born March 8, 1907 in Harleton, Harrison County, Texas; son of Dan Wesley Oney & Lona Belle Walker Oney. He died April 21, 1962 in Ragland Hospital, Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas, at age 55 of a Coronary Occlusion. He was married to Elizabeth "Betty" Wagnon. He served in World War II.
