On 28 Aug 2017 Find A Grave contributor Dora E. Niceschwander Isaacks provided the following information: Sent to me from a family member in that line: "I do know this. Bernice was raised by her maternal grandparents (Call). I asked the question why Samuel Ebenezer did not raise Bernice & was told that when Samuel remarried, Bernice's grandparents would not let her be taken & probably by then Bernice was calling her grandparents mom & dad. Also I'm sure Mr. & Mrs. Call realized that a new stepmother would very possibly treat her differently than the rest of the children."
