Esta Lee Byram Pope SULPHUR SPRINGS – Graveside services for Esta Lee Byram Pope, 80, of Sulphur Springs, formerly of Alba, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2012, at Salem Cemetery ,Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Mr. John Ratliff officiating. Mrs. Pope passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012, in a Sulphur Springs hospital. She was born May 9, 1931, in Emory, to the late Willie A. and Bessie Lee Shedd Byram. She married Kenneth Pope and lived most of her life in Alba. She worked for 19 years in a sewing factory, raised two children and two grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of Alba Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Pope, January 11, 1982; grandson, Charles Robert "Bubba" Dickson; brothers, J.W. Byram, Pete Byram, and Lucky Truett Byram; sisters, Allia Mae Cooper, Pearl Willingham, Betty Shreves, Marie Bryant, and Geneva Coats. Survivors include her son, Mark Pope and wife LeJean of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Debbie Stringfellow and husband Butch of Alba, granddaughter, Chasity Ann Taylor; and great grandchildren, Chase, Mackenzie, and Lacey. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alba Church of Christ Building Fund, P O Box 799 , Alba, 75410.
