Bio

Funeral services for Josephine Pike were held Friday, January 30, 1987, at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Shamrock. Rev. Mike Chancellor, pastor, officiated. Grandsons, Jeremy Pierce of Lubbock, Anthony Holmans of Muleshoe, Don Marriott of Berlin, West Germany, Mark Laubach of Shamrock, Danny Marriott of Round Rock, Randy Wickham of Sundown, Ronnie Hill of Higgins and Lewis Olson of Addis, Louisiana, served as pallbearers. Burial was in Shamrock Cemetery by Richerson Funeral Home. Mrs. Pike died at 5:30 a.m., January 29, 1987, in Shamrock General Hospital. Born July 25, 1915, to William and Martha Brown Hail in Montague County near Sunset, Texas, she came to Wheeler County with her parents approximately 60 years ago. Miss Josephine Hail and Daniel Aaron Pike were married in Erick, Oklahoma. Mr. Pike died November 21, 1961. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, James Pike of Addis, Louisiana, Billy Ray Pike of Amarillo, J.C. Pike of Sachie; two daughters, Mrs. L.C. Pierce of Amarillo, Mrs. Harold Holmans of Shamrock; a brother, Earl Hail, of Chino Valley, Arizona; a sister, Mrs. Faye Crossland of Abilene; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. February 5, 1987
