Copied with permission from The Shawnee News Star: Jan 11, 2005: Oklahoma City resident Sophia L. Brezny, 88, died Tuesday Jan. 4, in Oklahoma City. She was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Prague to Ernest and Besie Anna (Ruzicka) Brezny. She worked at Tinker Air Force Base during World War II and was a radiological Technician at Dr. O'Donoghue's clinic for 33 years. She was a member of St Joseph's Old Catholic Cathederal in Oklahoma City and the St Joseph's Alter Society. Her parents; one sister, Mayme Ogburn; and two nieces, Cecelia Hull and Adeline Brooks, proceded her in death. Survivors include her sister, Christine Pospisil of Prague;nephew, Tim Brooks and his wife, Lisa; and other relatives, including her cousin, Koe Brezny and his wife, Bobbie of Oklahoma City.A prayer sevice will b 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with the Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. officiating. Burial will follow at the Catholic Cemetery in Prague. The family suggest remembrances be made to any charity. Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague is directing arrangements.
