Hillsboro Reporter Thursday, February 24, 2005 IRENE WILLLIAMS Irene Williams, 89, of Whitney died Monday, February 21, 2005, in Waco. She was born September 28, 1915, in Angleton, daughter of George Washington and Mollie Elizabeth Noel Minix, and had lived in the Prairie Point community in Hill County most of her life. She married Chester Kenneth Williams August 16, 1941, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death January 25, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Charles Williams, in 1975; one sister; and six brothers. Survivors include: one daughter, Lilla Dale Tripp and husband, Ron, of Irving; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Williams Gaston and husband, Don, of Gatesville; one sister, Della Curbo of Whitney; five grandchildren, Teresa Whisnant, Jay Tripp, Brian Tripp, George Tripp and Kelby Williams; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at Whitney Church of Christ with Bruce Martin and Charles Horn officiating. Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney.
