Son of John & Elizabeth Antonia (Chrobak) Kusek. Immigrated in 1897. Married to Mary Nekoliczak on 11-3-1903 at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Greeley, NE. Occupation: Union Pacific Railroad employee and a farmer. -------------------------------------------------- Funeral services were held in St. Bridget's Church Monday, October 8, 1962 at 8 A.M. for Thomas T. Kusek, age 81, who passed away Thursday morning, October 4, 1962, at St. Catherine's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. . . . Thomas T. Kusek was born December 25, 1880, at Tarnov, Poland to John and Elisabeth Robak Kusek. He came to the United States at the age of sixteen and arrived in Columbus, Nebraska on July 3, 1897 and made his home with the late Frank Micek. He later worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in Nebraska, Wyoming and Illinois. On November 3, 1903 he was united in marriage with Mary Nekoliczak in St. Michael's Church at Spalding, Nebraska by the late Father Kalamaja. That month Mr. and Mrs. Kusek moved to Omaha where they lived until March 1906 when they returned to Spalding. They moved to Wheeler county in March, 1916. . . Mr. Kusek is survived by three sons, Major Joseph F. Kusek, U.S. Air Force, Dayton, Ohio, Michael J. of Alliance, Nebraska and Bernard T. of Omaha; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Helen) Oseka of Omaha, Mrs. Clifford (Dorothy) Boyce and Mrs. Wilfred (Mary Ann) Buelt of Denver, Colorado; and one brother, Joseph Kusek of Columbus, Nebraska and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; two sons, T. Hubert Kusek of Omaha and Louis H., former Wheeler County Superintendent of Schools, and of Denver, Colorado.
