Theodore R. "Ted" Rerucha, 82 years, of Fremont, NE died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at his home in Fremont. Ted was born December 28, 1930 in Bruno, NE to Theodore A. and Helen (Tomek) Rerucha. He graduated high school in 1948 in David City, NE and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, March 5, 1951-February 16, 1955. Ted married Alice Stanek February 1, 1958 in Morse Bluff, NE. She died June 16, 2007. Ted lived most of his life in Fremont where he was bookkeeper for P.A.G. and Consolidated Blenders, retiring in 2010. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont and the director of Aloette of Nebraska in Fremont. Survivors include: daughter - Karen Rerucha of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; and sisters - Elaine DeFord of Alliance, NE, Margaret Hobbs of Metaline, WA and Delores and husband Dr. J.M. Lanspa of David City, NE. He was preceded in death by: parents; and brother, Richard Rerucha. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, February 8, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Father Ron Battiato will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013 2-8 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service Friday at church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Fremont. Military graveside service conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of V.F.W. Post #854 and American Legion Post #20. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or the American Heart Association.
