Norma Jean Street Galetka 1928 - 2013 Norma Jean Street Galetka, passed away on February 2, 2013 at her home in Alpine. She was born August 31, 1928 in Saratoga, Utah to Henry Butt and Pearl Wilkin Street. She attended school in Magna, Utah, where she met her sweetheart Stanley Anton Galetka, a handsome Texas soldier stationed at Camp Kerns. They were married on June 5, 1944 in Evanston, Wyoming, later solemnized in the Provo Temple, June 5, 1996. Norma was a devoted wife and mother, she worked at the Utah State Training School and retired from Dessert Medical. She loved camping, cooking, hunting and fishing, as long as it was with the whole family. She always looked after her grandchildren and was a great care taker of her son Jr. who had polio, taking him to school each day so that he could graduate. Norma always fought for the underdog and was a strong and loving person. Survived by daughter Chirlyn L Houtz, Pleasant Grove, Utah, sons; Henry "Hank" Galetka, Pleasant Grove, Utah, Jimmy W Galetka, Riverdale, Utah, Michael D Galetka, Salt Lake City, Utah, 3 sisters, 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Stanley Anton Galetka Jr, and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fort Canyon Chapel, 890 North Heritage Hills Drive (North End of Main Street), Alpine, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, Utah and one hour prior to services on Friday morning.
