Betty Lois (Moore) Takats, born February 4, 1941 in Wellington, TX, died January 14, 2013 in Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Norman and Thelma Moore; parents, George H. and Margaret E. Moore; husband, Johnny Cyrill Takats, Sr.; and baby grandson, Jason Aaron Takats. A lifelong resident of Dallas, Betty was a caring, loving, devoted mother and found the greatest joy in her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Betty worked for Doctor's Hospital, Southeastern Medical and retired from the Attorney General's office. She met many wonderful friends in those years and kept in touch with many who became lifelong friends. Betty is survived by her sister, Carolyn S. Clinton and husband, Bobby; daughters, Barbara Takats and Linda K. Mathis and husband, Troy; sons, Johnny C. Takats, Jr. and George S. Takats; grandchildren, Rachel Maines and husband, Richard, Kandise Wood Takats, Jeffrey Takats, Monica Mathis and Daniel Mathis; great-grandchildren, Seth, Reagin and Brentin. She also leaves behind many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and her sweet dogs, Jingles and Puppy. Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, January 22nd with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm led by Fr. Timothy Golub. A graveside service will be held at 9:15am on Wednesday, January 23rd at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's honor may be made to the ASPCA of Texas or the Miraculous Medal Assoc. in Perryville, Missouri. Born in Wellington, TX. on Feb. 4, 1941 Departed on Jan. 14, 2013 and resided in Dallas, TX.
