Dennis B. Svoboda, of David City, NE. passed away on February 1, 2013 at St. Joseph's Villa, Savid City, NE. Dennis was born February 21, 1931 at the family farmstead near Appleton, NE., the 14th of 16 children. Dennis married Loretta Horacek of Brainard, NE. on January 6, 1955. Dennis owned and operated Svoboda Refuse in David City, NE. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish and always had a pet dog at his side. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survived by; son, Russell and daughter in law Amy Svoboda of Blair, NE.; granddaughters, Claire and Josephine Svoboda; brothers and sisters, Rose Jakub (David City), Emil Svoboda (David City), Agnes Svoboda (David City), Rudy and Marcy Svoboda (David City), Cyril and Irene Svoboda (David City), Elsie Ponec (David City), Margie Svoboda (David City), Valerian and Joanne Svoboda (David City), brothers and sisters in law Don and Helen Horacek (Brainard), Madonna Horacek (Lincoln), Jake and Sally Hotovy (Lincoln), Rose Keelan (Lincoln), Charles and Alice Styskal (Millard), and countless nieces and nephews. Preceeded in death by; wife. Loretta Svoboda in 1999; parents, Anton L. and Stacie Svoboda; sisters and brothers Jim and Rose Svoboda, Joe and Rose Svoboda, Mary and Ed Cemper, Adolf and Helen Svoboda, Louis Svoboda, Martha Fiala, Lucille and Jerry Pleskac, Mildred and Glen Chubb, Bill Ponec, Laddie Svoboda, Emil Jakub; brothers and sisters in law, Leonard Horacek, Ray Horacek, Frank and Adeline Spicka. Burial was in the St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, David City, NE.
