Bio

Drew S. Alsup was a son of Newton G. Alsup & Mary (Cottle) Alsup. He was married to Mary McPhail (McFall) on May 26, 1869 and to this union was born one daughter Sarah. He married (2) Mary Ellen Highsmith on Aug. 21, 1880. No issue. He is survived by his daughter Mrs. James M. (Sarah) Anderson; two granddaughters Mrs. Gene Lightfoot and Mrs. Nolan Gilliam; one sister Mrs. James M. (Mary Frances) Roe, and many other relatives. Early in his life he united with the Methodist Church in Bastrop.
