Bio

Ray Bosn, 91 of O'Neill, NE., passed away Thursday afternoon May 27, 2010 at his daughters residence in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Ray was born February 4, 1919 at Brainard, Nebraska to Simon and Mary (Ratkovec) Bosn. He is survived by wife, Lanone Bosn; daughters, Kathy Manoucheri and her husband, Jeff of O'Neill, NE., Julie Stewart and her husband, Michael of Lawrenceville, GA. and Janet Geary and her husband, Alan of Lonetree, CO.; sons, Reynold Bosn and his wife, Donna of Arvada, CO. and Richard Bosn of Scottsbluff, NE.; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, George Bosn and his wife, Opal of O'Neill, NE.; Al Bosn and his wife, Jean of Hillman, MN.; Don Bosn and his wife, Jackie of Lincoln, NE.; sisters, Dorothy Blomstrom of Phoenix, AZ., Rosalyn Gallagher and her husband, Jack of Broomfield, CO., Jean Lucero of Arvada, CO., and Theresa Jefferies and her husband, Jerry of Scottsdale, AZ. Ray graduated from Dwight Assumption High School in Dwight, Nebraska and attended St. Procopious in Lyle, Illinois. On May 21, 1945 Ray married Lanone Miles at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill, NE. He worked his early years on the railroad with his father. He also worked for Midwest Motors, his own business and the Motor Mart before joining the Krotter Company in O'Neill, NE., remaining there until his retirement in 1999. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Ray and Lanone had just celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary. Ray was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill, NE. the O'Neill Knights of Columbus Council #701 and a member of the Holt (NE.) County Board of Supervisors. Ray was preceded in death by: parents and sisters, Margaret Cook and Marian Hardy.
